The blue and orange
something growing in garden
this year feels special

With his heart pounding,
his adrenaline pumping,
And the haunting screeches of metal juggernauts behind and before--
the little frog finds sanctuary on the other end of the street.

With heavy breaths he looks ahead knowing two options:

Stay where he is or keep moving forward.

While both would end in his death,
only one allowed him to see more of the world.

A table stands firm.
It does its task perfectly,
And still, it is thrown.

Let me be a star
That shines amidst the dark sky.
The plight in my life
Shall never overshadow
My unstoppable brightness.

As they closed in ready to take his life,
he begged them for mercy.

They just grinned and laughed...

So, in the end, he gave them none...

They kept telling themselves that she would wake up.
They begged the doctors not to pull the plug--that she was still fighting...

She lamented in silence:
She wanted nothing more than to tell them that she wasn't...

Kiss my vulnerability
Pump life into my pride
Resurrect my Self esteem
Make me live again
I feel this loss
I feel you absent from me
Our connectivity immeasurable
And scrambled
Disillusioned Illusions plague my mind
Because there is no way after all this time
It’s over
The demolition of my deepest desires
My eggs scrambled on side streets like crumbs leading to my failures
I now need enclosure where freedom to be was free
In your heart
Where I found my peace is now a war zone
I can no longer rest where taking a breath once brought me joy
I don’t desire to toy or be toyed with
But I desire to be a toy for you
Toyed into erotic fairytales where the hero is you
Taken to the edge of ecstasy and then rescued by you
Hungry for satisfaction becoming overpowered by my crave; for you
I want you to seduce me
Make me close my eyes and slip into induced fantasies

Many assumed he wrote for potential fame and fortune.

In reality, he wrote because he would often let his imagination run wild,
And thought it absolutely necessary to remember where it had been.

"Good things come to those who wait," said the old man.

He died moments later.

"Mom used to say that laughter is the best medicine," he said.

"That's a wonderful saying," the other agreed.

"So why didn't she ever get better?"

"Life is a terrible Joke."
